For 2024, scholarship recipients must enrol and commence a relevant course within the same academic year. The scholarship cannot be deferred to a future academic year.
Scholarship recipients must maintain their course enrolment to continue receiving the scholarship.
The scholarship offers up to 35% reduction in applicable subject fees for the duration of the course.
Subject fees are published on the Ikon Schedule of Fees. Please note that Ikon course fees are updated around September each year for the upcoming calendar year.
The scholarship does not apply to subjects where credit is granted in recognition of prior learning.
The scholarship does not cover non-tuition costs such as textbooks, equipment or field trips.
The scholarship is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be used with other offers or taken as cash.
If a scholarship recipient receives more than one scholarship offer from Ikon, only the scholarship of greatest value will be awarded.
Scholarship recipients must pay the balance of their subject fees in accordance with Ikon’s standard payment terms. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in the forfeit of the scholarship.
Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress. Full fees apply for repeated subjects – no reduction fee. Full fees will be charged at the rate applicable at the time of subject re-enrolment.
Withdrawing from the course or suspending study leads to the scholarship being automatically forfeited.
Scholarship recipients withdrawing from a subject after the census date are liable for that subject’s fee.
Scholarship recipients unable to meet the scholarship conditions due to illness, injury or other extenuating circumstances may apply for special consideration. Where there are grounds for special consideration, Ikon may grant leave for one trimester. The scholarship will be reinstated on the agreed return to study date. Failure to resume study on the agreed date may forfeit the scholarship.
Unless terminated earlier in accordance with these terms and conditions, the scholarship will end upon completion of the course.
Ikon may vary or terminate the scholarship if a scholarship recipient breaches scholarship or enrolment conditions. This includes poor academic performance, poor attendance, misconduct, withdrawal or cancellation of enrolment, breaches to the student code of conduct, providing false or misleading information during the admission process that results in the scholarship being awarded, failure to pay subject fees by the relevant deadline, or accepting another Ikon-administered scholarship. The recipient may be required to repay any scholarship benefits that they were not entitled to within 14 days of the termination notice.
Scholarship recipients are expected to serve as Ikon ambassadors, promoting Ikon and their courses positively. This includes contributing to social media, blogs, newsletters and attending events such as Orientation, Open Days and other reasonable promotional activities.
Eligible recipients must sign the Scholarship Acceptance Declaration to accept the scholarship, and, in doing so, agree to abide by the 2024 Scholarship terms and conditions.
The scholarship commences only after a completed Scholarship Acceptance Declaration is received by Ikon. A declaration is considered complete when all conditions have been accepted and signed.
Ikon reserves the right to make changes to the scholarship and/or these terms and conditions without prior notice. All decisions made by Ikon regarding the scholarship are final and not subject to appeal.
