Our Journey So Far
Proteus Technologies Pty Ltd (trading as Ikon Institute) was built on a foundation established by Dr Rafael Locke over 30 years ago with a vision to educate practitioners in transpersonal psychotherapy. This therapeutic framework was inspired by extensive research, training and practice, spanning disciplines such as anthropology, psychoanalysis, humanistic and transpersonal psychotherapy, holistic and nutritional medicine, behavioural medicine, parapsychology, and neuroscience. It was through this diversity of theoretical frameworks that the foundation was set for our courses.
With continued growth over recent decades, we provide courses of excellence in counselling and psychotherapy, and arts therapy and have expanded our course offerings to include Early Childhood Education.
